Mandy Young
Development Director
Born and bred in Corby, Mandy is the founder of Adrenaline Alley and has continued to drive the Charity to provide better lifestyles and opportunities for those participating at the facility. Mandy has won many awards for her work, including the BBC Enterprise in Sport award, and is committed to providing urban sports participants with a 'World class facility' in the UK. Mandy is also well known for her 'wicked' nights out and her love of Tequila!
Phil Tulba
Vice Chairman
Phil is the vice-chairman of Adrenaline Alley as well as a
freelance consultant working with social enterprises and third sector
organisations. He has wide experience of supporting innovation in health and
public sector service delivery working with managers to implement practical and
effective solutions to improve planning, management and performance. He is also
Director of Freestream Ltd, a management consultancy offering a range of
services to public, private and civil society organisations. Phil has also
previously worked for The Young Foundation as Social Entrepreneur in Residence
and Enterprise UK as Head of Social Enterprise.
Mike Welsh
Director
Mike has extensive Leadership experience within the Education, Training and Music Industry sectors and has held two directorships of not-for-profit organisations. His current role is the Director of Performance and Standards at Tresham College of Further and Higher Education as a member of the College Leadership Group.
Helen Cund
Director
As a senior sports development professional, Helen’s day job involves leading the development and operations of a Yorkshire-based County Sport Partnership. With 10 years experience in sports development, Helen brings knowledge, experience and contacts from across the sports sector, including its infrastructure and opportunities for strategic partnerships and funding. Helen has been supporting Adrenaline Alley at board level since 2006 and is extremely passionate about the Charity and its world-leading position in supporting the development of urban sport for young people all over the world and the community of Corby, despite being petrified of BMX bikes!
David Laing
Chairman
David, a well respected and leading figure in the county became Chairman of the board in February 2010 and brings a wealth of experience to lead the Charity on the next step of The Alley’s iconic journey.David is also a former High Sheriff of Northamptonshire and is active in many areas. He is an architect and is also on the board of a number of companies. He is a trustee of charities including The Northamptonshire Community Foundation, The Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs, St Andrews Healthcare, United Church Schools Foundation, and is on the Board of Governors of the Kettering Buccleuch Academy. David always encourages organisations and young people to make the best of their potential and participate to the full. His coat of arms features the motto, “Let your light shine”.
