The all nighter was attended by 160 people travelling nationally to participate. We talked to all disciplines and various age groups giving us a diverse range of comments and feedback. Riders and skaters voiced their thoughts on the New developing areas in the facility (12ft mini ramp, 7ft Resi and the Foam Pit extension)
Consultation
Foam Pit Extension
We are taking down the wall that divides the foam pit from the box section of the park which will make it visually better with more light and ventilation throughout the area. Two foam pits are going to be built side by side enabling people to develop their skills and learn tricks such as flairs from left and right.
7ft Resi Ramp
We continue to consult with participants to provide participants with what they want, last year a lot of participants asked for a 7ft resi ramp during consultation to help develop their skills. We have now secured funds from WREN and have began to install the ramp which will be located next to the small bowl area.
2ft mini ramp
The general feeling is this ramp has been a great success and is “never emptyâ€ÂÂ. Even the older skaters are using it to learn technical tricks which is helping the younger ones learn from the more experienced skaters. The intermediate level skater are enjoying it as well as beginners as well.
Volunteers.
KC continues to engage with more volunteers, we have increased by 2 people since April 2010. Anyone wishing to volunteer must see Kim Collins for information or collect a volunteer leaflet from Reception. The events organising group is still meeting on a regular basis if anyone would like to be involved in particular with the organisation of events please see Kim Collins or Jade Swan.
Forum Involvement.
We asked everyone to continue putting comments onto forum for their ideas and comments in particular using the event section on the forum, any ideas for future events or for all nighter events to be posted. We now have 406 people using our forum and posting comments, its easy to join you just register your email address and create a user name.
Adrenaline Alley is looking to hold a SCOOTER ONLY SESSION, if anyone has any ideas please post them under events on the forum or get a consultation form from the table in the rec room.
Magnolia Arts Studio – Pottery Workshop - www.magnoliastudios.co.uk
Well done to all people who took part in the workshop, the art work is now going back to the studio to be put in a pottery kiln ready to be painted and decorated on the next all nighter event. We had some fantastic artistic pieces done on the night, the pictures will be posted onto the gallery on the website. General Information
The ICT Suite is now open for public use.
Next All Nighter event is taking place on Friday 23rd July 2010, it is going to be bigger and better with Art Workshops, Dance Workshops, Jams and Contests and films, tickets are available to pre book from next week.
Future Vision
We are sill working hard to secure funds to develop areas of the facility to make it bigger and better. This week a news article has been released about the £1.7m development to this site allowing us more indoor and outdoor space.
