SECOND SPORT4VALUES CONFERENCE HELD

SECOND SPORT4VALUES CONFERENCE HELD

CEO Mandy Young MBE, DL hosted a Sport4Values conference between 14th and 17th November. With delegates from Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal and Greece the conference focused on how urban sports are developing, changing and growing in communities across Europe and what Adrenaline Alley can do to help promote the sports in those countries. It also focused on the social impact, sporting value and networking opportunities that helped those attending understand how important these sports are to individuals and communities. The conference also enabled delegates to network learning good practices and valuable lessons about each others communities for the future.

Geoff Else from Camp Rubicon was guest speaker and presented to the group topics such as how Rubicon engages young people from across the world to take part in activities, how the camp and stay program works and how the young people help each other through those programs.

CEO and founder of Adrenaline Alley Mandy Young MBE, DL said “This has been the third weekend of presentations for the Sports4Values program we have been involved in, every time I have attended I have learned more and more. It’s so interesting to hear how different countries view urban sports and what they are doing to address the issues, progress and changes they are making in their communities, towns and cities. I hope we can continue to help those countries to progress their own urban projects”.
