The clubs are held through the Northamptonshire school term on Monday/Wednesday evenings for Scooter, Tuesday evenings for Skateboard/BMX, and Wednesday evenings for Inline/Quad. Club session times are 17:45-19:00 and 19:15-20:30. The minimum age to join is 6 years old.

SINCE OUR TRAINING CLUB BEGAN…

Hundreds of trainees have developed, improved, and increased their confidence, sporting, and life skills. Club sessions are fun, exciting, inspiring, and educational. Organised by sport and level of ability, each group is led by an experienced head coach accompanied by younger aspiring riders/skaters who mentor the trainees while developing their own coaching skills for the future.

Our BMX training club was the first official British Cycling BMX Freestyle Talent Development Centre, helping trainees to learn about all aspects of becoming a great rider. This has been launched by the British Cycling talent development programme which aims to support the growth of the sport as well as to put the building blocks in place to identify the next generation of riders with the potential to compete in future Olympic Games.

How We Monitor Progress

During the club sessions, all participants follow a standardised progression pathway based on their chosen discipline. This involves working systematically through each area of the park, beginning with the smallest ramps and gradually progressing to the larger features within THE WAIRHOUSE. Instructors record both compulsory and optional outcomes on our digital tracking system as they are achieved, allowing us to monitor each trainee’s development and progress.

Our progression framework is designed as a structured, step-by-step pathway, ensuring participants only move on when they have demonstrated the ability and confidence required for the next stage.

All of our coaches are also subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
