Thanks to funding from Corby Borough Council, Scott Bader and other private donations, Phase 1 of our 3-phase project is nearing completion, transforming a section of Building 1 into ‘THE WAIRHOUSE’; a training area designed to enable athletes to develop and reach their full potential. This will be opening with a BMX Jam on the 26th October 2019. Running from 12:00–18:00, the Jam will include professional and amateur best trick and high jump competitions. ‘THE WAIRHOUSE’ will give riders the chance to aspire, train and progress on ramps comparative to what they ride at international events such as FISE. It will be accessible to all disciplines of the sports; however, it will not be suitable for beginners, who also have a new area coming soon. In addition, we will be hosting an official launch event for the whole 3-phase project upon completion of all our developments early 2020.
Unique to Europe, ‘THE WAIRHOUSE’ will provide a scaled-up training area for aspiring and professional riders worldwide and include one of the world’s largest resi jump boxes. A new large two-tier viewing platform will allow spectators to witness the action as it happens.
